In-Service Training

Oklahoma resource families are required to earn 12 credit hours of ongoing education each year, called in-service training. Each of the following resources offers a variety of courses developed by professionals with expertise in foster care, kinship, and adoption. Training hours must be pre-approved by your worker.

Online In-Service Training

DHS has authorized 12 prepaid online in-service credits for OKDHS and tribal resource families through Foster Parent College and Foster Care and Adoptive Community training sites. Each of these resources offers training courses developed by professionals with expertise in foster care, kinship, and adoption.
