Support Groups for Region 5
Support Network Groups are designed to assist resource parents with in-service training, community resource information, peer support, and communication with DHS. Attending on a regular basis is not only a great way to get the emotional and practical support you need to succeed, it's a great way to stay on top of the training requirements you need to fulfill. Some groups serve dinner or snacks; all provide child care with your RSVP. Please contact the facilitator to find out about the topic or confirm your attendance.

June Meeting Topic: Tips to Integrating Bio Families with Foster Families
Navigating the dynamics of foster care can feel overwhelming, especially when working to build strong connections with biological families. Bridging this gap takes patience, skill, and the right support, and you do not have to walk this journey alone. Join our upcoming session, Bridging the GAP with Bio Families, where our group will share proven tips and practical strategies for smoothly integrating families. You will gain effective communication tools designed to foster mutual trust, learn through shared experiences and real-life stories from seasoned foster parents, and receive expert guidance to help uncover solutions for complex visitation and family dynamics.
