Support Groups for Region 2
Support Network Groups are designed to assist resource parents with in-service training, community resource information, peer support, and communication with DHS. Attending on a regular basis is not only a great way to get the emotional and practical support you need to succeed, it's a great way to stay on top of the training requirements you need to fulfill. Some groups serve dinner or snacks; all provide child care with your RSVP. Please contact the facilitator to find out about the topic or confirm your attendance.
Stephens/Jefferson Counties Support Network Group Meeting
April 21, 2026
New Beginnings Methodist Church
1115 West Elm Avenue
Duncan, OK 73533
April Topic: Water Safety
Join us for an informative and supportive in-person session focused on Water Safety, a crucial topic for caregivers of children of all ages. Resource parents often support children with varying levels of experience and comfort around water, and this meeting will provide practical guidance to help keep everyone safe during bath time, outdoor activities, and recreational swimming.
This Network Support Group is designed to provide information and opportunities for networking with other resource families and resources, both locally and statewide. All resource families are welcome to attend: Kinship, Foster, Adoptive, and Enhanced Foster Care Families.
Parents in attendance will earn 2 hours of in-service training credit toward your annual 12-hour requirement. Come connect and learn with other kinship, foster, and adoptive families in surrounding counties.
