Support Groups for Region 2
Support Network Groups are designed to assist resource parents with in-service training, community resource information, peer support, and communication with DHS. Attending on a regular basis is not only a great way to get the emotional and practical support you need to succeed, it's a great way to stay on top of the training requirements you need to fulfill. Some groups serve dinner or snacks; all provide child care with your RSVP. Please contact the facilitator to find out about the topic or confirm your attendance.

Event: Siblings in Care
Have you wondered what happens when another child is born or enters the foster care system while you already have a child in your care? These transitions can bring connection and growth, but also new stress and challenges for everyone.
Join this month's Support Group for a conversation on navigating sibling dynamics and supporting your family through these changes.
Foster and adoptive parent Laura Glover will join us via Zoom to share practical insights and real-life experiences. Whether you're fostering, adopting, or considering it, this is a supportive space to learn, share, and connect.
Please RSVP for meals and childcare.
Facilitator: Laura Glover
Parents in attendance will earn 2 hours of in-service training credit toward your annual 12-hour requirement. Come connect and learn with other kinship, foster, and adoptive families in Jackson and surrounding counties.
