Informed by more than 400 interviews with youth exiting foster care, this training translates lived experience into actionable practice. Participants examine the most common areas where youth feel underprepared, then engage in an interactive, scenario-based experience to explore effective strategies for supporting skill-building and empowerment while youth are still in care. Please come ready for a day of interactive learning and resource-sharing.

This event is open to resource parents, child welfare specialists, and youth care professionals from all contracts. The training is most relevant to supportive adults for adolescents, teens, and young adults ages 9-23. The day will be a combination of lecture, discussions, and group work.
