Who We Are
What We Do
The Resource Family Training Program conducts a pre-service training program for all new Bridge Resource Parents – foster, kinship and adoptive families – who want to provide home-based care to children in the custody of the Oklahoma Department of Human Services. This pre-service program, utilizing the Guiding Principles for Oklahoma Bridge Resource Families curriculum, is a 27-hour, 9-session workshop which is offered throughout the year and in many locations around the state.
In addition to pre-service training, the RFT Program provides Bridge Resource Parents with access to online in-service training, and assists the Children and Family Services Division of the Oklahoma Department of Human Services with conferences and other technical support.
Building Bridges Newsletter

You will find information and resources you can use whether you are caring for infants, preschoolers, elementary age children, adolescents, or young adults. In addition to articles related to the theme, you can expect information about Support Groups throughout the state, activities you can do with your family, and more.
This publication will be in an electronic format and will replace what some of you knew as Connections.
