Who is Eligible for Chafee Services?

Former foster youth ages 18-21 and youth 16-18 that are in custody receiving independent living services

What is the State's Definition of Room and Board?

A PCSA may use up to 30% of their independent living funds to provide room and board services between the ages of 18-21. This includes rent assistance, rent deposits, utilities and utility deposits.

Yes

Ohio has extended Medicaid to youth until age 21 who were in foster care at age 18 and have received Title IV-E services before age 18. Emancipated youth must reapply after 12 months at their local County Department of Jobs and Family Services.
