Welcome to Building Bridges: A Newsletter for Oklahoma Bridge Resource Families.

This publication will be in an electronic format and will replace what some of you knew as Connections. Each issue will focus on a theme targeted to meet the needs of foster, kinship, and adoptive Bridge resource families. You will find information and resources you can use whether you are caring for infants, preschoolers, elementary age children, adolescents, or young adults. In addition to articles related to the theme, you can expect information about support groups throughout the state, activities you can do with your family, and more.

This publication is made possible by a partnership between The Oklahoma Department of Human Services Division of Child and Family Services and The University of Oklahoma OUtreach National Resource Center for Youth Services. These two agencies work together to provide you with quality pre-service and in-service training opportunities designed to prepare and support you on your journey as a Bridge resource family.
